Community Guidelines

We're committed to keeping Mamas Village a safe space. That means actively moderating for the following.


Hate Speech

Mamas Village does not tolerate content that attacks or demeans any person based on their race, religion, gender, sexuality, or disability. Respectful disagreement is welcome. Contempt is not.


Harassment and Bullying

Targeting, threatening, or repeatedly directing harmful behaviour toward another user — whether in messages or elsewhere in the app — is strictly prohibited. This includes repeated unwanted contact, personal attacks, and intimidation.


Harmful and Sexual Content

The safety of our community — and of children — is non-negotiable. Any content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates the abuse or exploitation of minors will be removed immediately and reported to the relevant authorities. Sexual solicitation of any kind is not permitted.

While birth, breastfeeding, and the raw reality of motherhood are welcome here, we strongly discourage posting identifiable images of your children. This is a platform built for mothers — your children's privacy is worth protecting.


Illegal Activity

Content that promotes, coordinates, or facilitates criminal activity is not permitted and will be removed.


Spam and Advertising

Unsolicited promotions, referral links, and commercial solicitation are not permitted. Genuine connection is always welcome. Uninvited pitching is not.


Your Profile

Users are required to use a genuine photo and their real name. A clear, recognisable photo of you — not a group shot, not a logo, not your kids without you in it. If you go by a common nickname, that's fine, but your profile should be unmistakably you.

Authenticity is the foundation of everything Mamas Village is built on — and that includes representing yourself honestly. Impersonating another user, public figure, or brand is a violation of these guidelines.


How to Report

If you encounter content or behaviour that violates these guidelines, tap the three dots on any profile or message and select Report. All reports are reviewed confidentially, and we'll follow up with you within 48 hours.


False Reporting

The report tool exists to keep this community safe, not to settle personal disputes. Deliberately submitting false or repeated reports against another user as retaliation or harassment is itself a violation of these guidelines and will be treated as such.


How to Block

To block a user, tap their profile and select Block. They will no longer be able to view your profile or contact you. They will not be notified.


Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, a formal warning, or permanent removal from the platform, depending on the situation.
